A Week in Review at the New York International Gift Fair- Part One
We are finally home from our trip to New York City for the New York International Gift Show last week. We had a great time and enjoyed mingling with some of the design communities biggest and brightest names who came out to see and showcase the latest designs in home furnishings. There were so many beautiful things to admire at this year’s show and we found so many new products to introduce to our clients!
We wanted to share a glimpse inside our typical day at the show for those of you who have never been. We began things off with a trip on Sunday to Pier 94 where we fell in love with the new Kimberly chair from Julian Chichester.
Then onto Bojay, a company specializing in inlaid bone, where we picked up several of their new pieces.
Festoni had several new pieces and we snatched up some great new “Twombly inspired” artwork, and a wonderful black enamel chest of drawers.
We also came across a new company out of Connecticut called Oomph. We’ve seen press on this company and it was great to see their product in person and to meet the three fine ladies who run it.
The gracious folks at Tritter Feefer walked in the rain with us as we left the piers and bought us drinks at the Iguana. And we finished the evening at dinner with our friends from Julian Chichester and Mr. Brown at one of our favorites, Raoul’s in Soho.
-Stay tuned later in the week for our recount of the rest of our trip to NYC. Hope you enjoyed Day One!
