Pantone’s Spring Hues Heat Up The Milan Runway
Last week might have been the start of fall, but we can’t seem to stop thinking about Spring Color Trends for 2012. It probably doesn’t help that Milan Fashion Week is finishing up today and then the fashionably elite will head off to the Paris shows. We wanted to take a look at some of Pantone’s Spring 2012 Color Trends for 2012 and see how they relate not only to the home, but to what we’ve been seeing on the runways at Milan Fashion Week.
Let’s start off with an Italian favorite, Salvatore Ferragamo. Their Spring 2012 Ready to Wear line is all about bold colors with an exotic flair. Ferragamo designer Massimiliano Giornetti created a lot of chiffon and silk dresses that beautifully drape the female form.
It looks like Pantone was on trend with their Cabaret color choice for Spring 2012. This color looks just as good off the runway as it does.
See how great it works in the playful teen lounge that we created for our client.
Who doesn’t love a great Margarita? Well Pantone thinks this color will heat up Spring 2012 in a big way. We’ll have to agree since we saw this color in a pattern making its way down the runway in Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring 2012 show in Milan.
We used a similar shade for this bedroom below.
Both Prada and Versus chose Sweet Lilac in their Spring looks for 2012. Pantone says “This delicate
pinkish lilac adds a touch of romance to any wardrobe.”
It will also add a touch of romance to any home. See how this pop of color added a soft romantic look to this dining room below.
Stay tuned for our final installment as we take a look at the last of the colors Cockatoo, Driftwood and Starfish.
