A Look at Pantone’s Spring 2012 Color Report
If you are a loyal follower to our blog then you might remember our popular Pantone Fall 2010 Colors series. Well Pantone revealed their Fashion Color Report for Spring 2012 last week, right in time for New York Fashion Week. The Pantone Spring 2012 Report features the top 10 color choices for this spring along with designer sketches and quotes. Take a look at some of our favorite ways to incorporate these hot hues into your home decor.
“Consumers look to spring for renewed energy, optimism and the promise of a brighter day. They have learned how color can help them alter a mood and provide the vitality and enthusiasm that enables them to experiment with new looks and color combinations.” - Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®.
Let’s begin with a look at Tangerine Tango, Solar Power and Bellflower. Each of these colors are a perfect way to liven up the look of your home for spring.
Tangerine Tango is a bold look for spring so we toned it down using it along side some other top choices for spring, Cockatoo and Starfish.
Providing lots of warmth this spring is Solar Power.
This cheerful shade of yellow will help make springtime in your home that much brighter.
One of our favorite colors for spring is Bellflower, which Pantone describes as “a distinct ornamental purple, exudes uniqueness and creativity.”
We paired Bellflower with Pantone’s Margarita below for our Park Project.
Stayed tuned for next week’s installment as we look at the design potential of Cabaret, Sodalite Blue, Margarita and Sweet Lilac.
