We love interior design that has been inspired by looks right off the runway. So we were thrilled when we came across this article on Stylelist called “The Best Fashion Designer-Designed Hotels”. Below are a few of our favorites from the article.
Recently celebrated fashion designer Giorgio Armani opened up his first hotel in Dubai. Housed in the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa, the Armani Hotel and Residences will take up 10 floors in the 160 story tower. Providing a complete lifestyle experience, Armani personally designed and furnished the rooms from his Armani/Casa collection.
Hotel Missoni in Edinburgh, Scotland is the creative genius beyond Rosita Missoni and Rezidor Hotel Group. According to Stylelist.com, “the 136-room hotel features sweeping views of the city and countryside, Missoni toiletries and black and white decor in the brand’s signature stripes and zig-zag patterns with shots of bold color.”
Ralph Lauren, updated the famous Round Hill’s Pineapple House hotel in Jamaica in 2004. Lauren owned one of the private villas and was asked to give the hotel a facelift. His classic look is seen in the photo below.
I love the look of this Christian Lacroix-designed hotel in Paris! Stylelist said it best when they wrote that, “Hotel Notre Dame has jaw-dropping views both inside and outside the window thanks to the Parisian couturier’s fantastical mash-up of “new baroque” design elements.”
So go ahead and pack your bags!
