Summertime is almost upon us and we wanted to help you keep cool with some of our favorite summer refreshments.
Ice tea is the South’s signature drink. You’d be hard-pressed to find any true southerner who didn’t drink the stuff by the gallon during the hot summer months.
Try a new flavor, like strawberry.
Or summer peach punch.
Another Southern favorite is lemonade, a summertime classic made with lemons.
But just as yummy with rasberries.
Limeade, the sister drink to lemonade, is very refreshing. Be adventurous and try an exotic combination like toasted coconut and vanilla.
Our list would not be complete without sharing our favorite summer cocktails.
Mint Juleps, another southern tradition, now has its own holiday. May 31 was National Mint Julep Day, but go ahead and celebrate.
How fun is this! A margarita shooter served in a lime.
If you’re a fan of the margarita, then you’ve got to try the paloma. Mexico’s most popular tequila drink, the paloma traditionally consists of tequila and grapefruit soda. It’s served on the rocks with a lime wedge garnish.
At your next party, try a lemon-thyme soda, add some vodka or gin and you have yummy and light drink.
Or celebrate with a champagne cocktail, made with mint and lemon sorbet.
