Decorating with Greek Key

What was the most used motif in ancient Greece that has been found a countless amount of times in great interior design? The Geek key motif. The Greek key is a symbol of infinity and unity that was used through ancient Greece for decorative purposes. The Greek key pattern visually mimics the fluid movement of an ocean wave, yet exudes strength and order from the box-like design.

In interiors, the versatile Greek key motif has been used as borders around walls and rugs, as the sole pattern on textiles and for various features on furniture. It can be paired with various patterns for an eclectic mix, or stand alone as the focal point of a room. It can transform to fit the causal feel of a family room, or a room that is more formal.

I love every single thing about this first room. Those black & white greek key pillows really stand out sitting on those bright yellow chairs. Such a bright & sunny room!

LOVE THE GREEK KEY DESIGN. USE IT OFTEN FROM FASHION TO ROOM INTERIOR. IT INTERGRATES WELL WITH ANY KIND OF DECOR. NICE CLEAN LINES FOR MODERN TO BOLD WITH TRADITIONAL INFLUENCE. ANIMAL PRINTS GO WELL WITH IT, TOO, AS USED IN THE YELLOW ROOM. LOVE IT!
