British designer Kelly Hoppen picked to design Royal residence for Prince William and Duchess Kate
We were excited to learn that our favorite Royal couple, Prince William and Duchess Kate, have hired interior designer extraordinaire Kelly Hoppen to help them design their permanent royal residence in London. This is quite an accomplishment for even Hoppen, who is considered to have “pioneered a simple yet opulent style that has permeated interior design at every level.” Her designs can be seen at high-end department stores, luxury hotels and even on board some of the world’s most exclusive yachts and jets.
Recently Kelly has put her home in London’s much sought after Notting Hill up for sale. This beautifully decorated Georgian townhouse exemplifies “all the glamour and sophistication Kelly’s known for.”
We hope we’ll be able to see the finished product of Will and Kate’s new home which is scheduled to be completed in 2013. US Weekly writes that the Prince and Duchess “want to create a modern quarter to live in” and that Kelly “has been actively involved in meetings with William and Kate’s office.”
